Around 75 years ago at a Chinese medical store in the centre of Bangkok, a Yemeni customer came and asked about oud from Mr. Sanguan Uthaiwan. A Yemeni customer showed a wood sample and try to describe to him what it looked like. The customer said he need this wood and would come back again, please contact him if the wood was discovered. At Prachinburi province. Sanguan’s home was in nature and very close to the mountains. He gathered the villagers and asked about the wood and tree. Soon enough, he learned that there are trees called “Krisana” (Agarwood) in this province. So, he went into the forest to see whether it is real. Sanguan’s group hunted for the wood in the forest and finally, he found them, agarwood trees in perfect condition.
